I'm a seasoned financial services professional and volunteer firefighter who began tutoring students in the mid-1990s. Through tutoring, I discovered a passion for teaching others. I enjoyed it so much that I took a job in Thailand, where I taught English to residents of a small village called Songkhla, located close to the Malaysian border. After teaching in Thailand, I went on to teach English to people in other areas of the world, and spent more than a decade working with English students in London, Hong Kong, and Thailand.I have a simple approach to teaching. I spend time working with my students at their pace, and when I'm convinced that the students have a firm grasp of the material that they are studying, I begin pushing them toward the next level of learning. I believe that building a strong foundation in a subject is one of the most important parts of the learning process, and I tend to focus on the fundamentals of learning with each of my students.I'm available to tutor students in economics, microeconomics, business, social studies, English, reading, writing, and American history. I also work with ESL/ELL students, help college students write essays, and assist students with essay editing. I also offer test prep services to graduate school students who are preparing to take their GMAT.
